About CSC
Founded in 1991, CSC, (formerly L.A. Community Services) a California 501.3c nonprofit agency, is actively seeking donations of working computers, printers, projectors and any other working equipment that firms are no longer utilizing. Food, office furniture, technical equipment, medical supplies, clothing to cosmetics, CSC outreach to the minority communities is growing.
Why not let CSC deploy this unwanted, unused equipment to community agencies in need, where
people who have extremely limited or no resources available, and are so grateful to put them to use
again? Lear Capital gave us 100 PC’s, laser printers and other office equipment which we distributed
to needy communities and agencies as the need for office electronics remains extremely high.
In 2020, CSC had distributed over $681,678 in inventory donations, over $900,000 in 2021 and has
given away over $8.5 million since 2011. All of this has been accomplished by volunteer labor and
donated resources such as transportation, gas, teardown and set up. That includes 350,000 pounds of hygiene & beauty products with shipments to Arizona and Mexico, pallets of frozen meats/poultry,
9,500 walkie-talkies, and 100’s of truckload pickups. We partner with national firms in decommissions
of office furniture & equipment in Dallas, San Francisco Bay area, Las Vegas, San Diego, San Jose and Atlanta. Last Fall, we placed over 25,000 units of hand sanitizer including to Central Mexico, El
Salvador, Nigeria, Miami and Haiti.
About 9 Lives Rescue Center
My name is Loran Slama
9 Lives Rescue Center receives pet food, products and accessories from pet distributors and manufacturers. The mission of our program is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home cats. Program Director Loran has saved over 1,440 cats from the L.A. city & county animal shelters. We’ve expanded our program to distribute cat and dog food to families that are struggling in hard times. 9 Lives gathered a lot of local and national press after recently rescuing Muffin, a cat who had been paralyzed by microcosm mishap.
